OUR MISSION

The membership body of the Arkansas Black Gay Men’s Forum (BGM Forum) is proud to announce that our organization will host the 18th-year celebration of Arkansas’ Little Rock Black PRIDE.  The Mission of this yearly festive and educational community event is to serve as a resource for Arkansas’ Black and Brown underserved Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender residents while being a catalyst for unity, empowerment, and pride. It is more critical than ever that we honor Black lives as we develop strong leadership and strategies for unity and equitable rights in our Black communities who are fighting for freedom.

The Black PRIDE weekend is one of the State’s largest events of the year. This annual celebration of Black PRIDE is filled with events and activities focused on diversity, inclusion, and equity overall for LGBTQ+ persons. There are a plethora of community-based organizations, groups, businesses, and others eagerly looking forward to the unique opportunity to showcase their talents, crafts, and informational materials, over the three (3) day period. BGM Forum Executive Director, Antoine “Twan” Ghoston says, “It is the goal of this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to truly serve our community…unapologetically and intentionally.”

Since its inception, Little Rock Black Pride Weekend has made a positive impact in the Little Rock metroplex by unifying the community, celebrating freedom, providing a safe space for community gatherings, and infusing thousands of dollars into the local economy.
